SuperWomb ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and your rights regarding that data. It applies to superwomb.com.
1. Who we are
SuperWomb is an early-stage women's health-education start-up based in Hertfordshire, United Kingdom. For any privacy questions, contact us at julie@superwomb.com.
2. Information we collect
- Information you give us: your first name and email address when you join our community mailing list, and any message you send via our contact form.
- Survey responses: if you choose to complete our XR/women's-health survey. The survey is anonymous unless you choose to leave your email at the end.
- Technical data: basic information collected automatically such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, via cookies and similar technologies.
3. How we use your information
- To send you updates about SuperWomb's launch and progress (only where you have signed up).
- To respond to your enquiries and messages.
- To understand attitudes toward VR/AR for women's health and improve our product.
- To maintain the security and performance of our website.
4. Legal basis for processing
Under UK GDPR, we process your personal data on the basis of your consent (which you can withdraw at any time) and our legitimate interests in operating and improving our service.
5. How we store & share your information
Your information is stored securely in our own database, on servers we control, protected by encryption in transit (HTTPS) and access controls so that only authorised SuperWomb personnel can view it. We do not sell or rent your personal data, and we never share it for third-party marketing.
We rely on a small number of trusted service providers only to operate the service, for example:
- Website and server hosting that runs superwomb.com and stores our data.
- An email-delivery provider, if and when we send launch updates or notifications (for example Brevo or Mailchimp).
Any such providers process data on our behalf under appropriate data-processing agreements, and only to the extent needed to provide their service.
6. Cookies
Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to make the site work, remember your preferences, and understand how the site is used. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings; some features may not function correctly if cookies are disabled.
7. Data retention
We keep your personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out above, or until you ask us to delete it.
8. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email julie@superwomb.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
9. Children
Our educational content is intended to support girls and women, but our website sign-up and community features are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without appropriate consent.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page with the revision date above.
